20s Charleston with Variation

20s Charleston with Variation

Daniel and Gabriella show the 20s Charleston basic front-to-front as well as variations.

Leaders: in the basic front and back 20s Charleston face-to-face, make sure that when you touch back on count 1 with your left foot that you do not step down on the foot. It is only a touch step and there should not be a complete weight transfer at this point. The majority of your weight should still be on the right foot.

Followers: make sure that when you touch front with your right leg on count 1 that you do not commit your full weight to that leg at that time. It is only a touch step and the majority of your weight should still be on your standing left foot.

This same thing applies on count 5: leaders, when you are touching front with your right leg the majority of your weight should be resting on your standing left foot.

Followers, on count 5 when you are touching back with your left leg, you should not step down on it but keep the majority of your weight firmly on your standing right leg.
