Reverse Tandem

Frank and Ufuk show an interesting Tandem intro variation they call “The real world Tandem”.

This is a variation on the Chase into Tandem Charleston move where instead of the follower ending up in front of the leader the leader ends up on front.

They also show a nice transition back into “normal” Tandem as well as an exit from Tandem.

p.s. don’t mind the long handshake sequence in the middle.

Followers make sure that your arms are relaxed in the tandem so that you don’t block the leader from leading this move.

Charleston moves

Daniel and Gabriella show a bunch of Charleston variations, including side-by-side, tandem & hand-2-hand.

Make sure that during your Charleston you keep the bounce/rhythm going. When in different 30′ Charleston variations like tandem & hand-2-hand for example you always want to keep jumping on the balls of your feet. Think of it like you are always skip roping(jump roping) during every move.
