Interesting jazz steps to be used in partner dancing. Boogie Backs, Eagle Slide, Boogie Forwards, Tackie Annies, Pushes, Knee Slaps and a break step.

Shim Sham – full routine

Patrick and Natasha show the Shim Sham routine danced to the music (part 9 of the teaching sequence.).

The full Shim Sham routine danced to music. The moves are:

  • shim sham step
  • full break step
  • pushes and cross overs
  • tackey annie
  • full break
  • half break
  • Then the whole routine is reapeted with freezes instead of the full breaks
  • Shim Sham ends with boogie back, boogie forward and shorty george
  • At the end usually people will start dancing socially with each other until the end of the song
