Shim Sham – full routine
Patrick and Natasha show the Shim Sham routine danced to the music (part 9 of the teaching sequence.).
The full Shim Sham routine danced to music. The moves are:
- shim sham step
- full break step
- pushes and cross overs
- tackey annie
- full break
- half break
- Then the whole routine is reapeted with freezes instead of the full breaks
- Shim Sham ends with boogie back, boogie forward and shorty george
- At the end usually people will start dancing socially with each other until the end of the song

The song this routine is often danced to is either “Tain’t What You Do” by Billy May or “The Shim Sham Song” by The Bill Elliott Swing Orchestra
